The Business Leader’s Top 100 NC Small Businesses honors companies which have illustrated significant business success, but also demonstrate community involvement in North Carolina. To be eligible for the award, a firm must have less than 100 employees, have been in business for at least five years, and must attain more than half of their sales in North Carolina. In selecting the Top 100 list, the Business Leader’s assessed each company’s one-year and five-year revenue growth, business achievements, and their community involvement.

 

Despite the real estate bubble burst in early 2008, Prime Mortgage Lending still managed to attain steady revenue flows, and even significantly increased the company’s net worth. Its recent success within a struggling economy allowed the company to transition from a broker only status to a broker/lending status. This also enabled the acquisition of two warehouse lines of credit totaling five million dollars, allowing Rodgers to arrange the sale of in-house funded mortgages to five of the industry giants. The company has also played a major role in Rotary Club fundraisers, providing scholarships to Apex High School seniors and sending selected youths to Rotary leadership schools.
